Trent Seybold

Associate

“The only way to do great work is to love what you do” – Steve Jobs

Trent is an associate who gained his first experience in financial planning during an internship at the Marangola Financial Group in 2018.  From this experience, he saw firsthand the lasting impact financial planners can have on someone’s life and knew that this was the right profession for him.  In his current role at the firm, Trent assists with creating and maintaining financial plans, client correspondence, and answering client inquires.  He participates in client meetings to stay current on the client’s needs, goals, and concerns.

He graduated in May 2020 from the University of Colorado Boulder.  There, he pursued a degree in Finance with an option in Personal Financial Planning.  Through this program, he acquired the technical knowledge and skills needed to sit for the Certified Financial Planner® exam.  Trent successfully passed the exam in September of 2020 and will receive the mark after completing the work experience requirement.

Trent has known Mike since the age of 10 through his involvement in the Boy Scouts of America.  He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout after restoring the La Jolla Walk-in campground for his Eagle Scout project.  In his free time, you can find him backpacking, skiing, sailing, wakeboarding, or golfing with friends.  He loves to be active and outside whenever he gets the opportunity.
